Can professors Actually detect ai essay writer tools? Asking for research purposes 👀

not that im planning anything... just curious if anyone knows how these ai detectors actually work? heard some crazy stories about people getting caught using ai essay writer but like... how accurate is that detection fr?

@acc_283746 from what i heard, ai essay writer detection isn't 100% accurate. like sometimes it flags normal essays as AI? my friend wrote everything herself and still got accused 💀
 
guys my prof straight up told us she doesn't even need fancy ai essay writer detection tools... said she can spot AI writing from a mile away cause it's "too perfect" whatever that means lol

bet ur prof just says that to scare everyone. half the time they cant even tell if we actually read the book and ur telling me they can spot ai essay writer text that easily??
 
ok but real talk - ai essay writer tools are getting better at sounding human. like they even add typos and stuff now?? my cousin's friend (allegedly) uses one and hasn't been caught all semester
 
yall playing with fire fr fr. my ta said they got some new ai essay writer detector last week that's supposed to be super accurate. not worth the risk imo
 
@homeric ok but tell me why EVERYTHING gets flagged as AI these days?? wrote my lab report completely by myself and the detector was like "80% AI" like???? make it make sense???
 
lmaoo imagine spending hours fighting with an ai essay writer to make it sound "more human" when u could just... write the essay yourself? 💀

@Anto2004 bold of u to assume i know how to write essays myself 🥲 but fr these ai detectors got me paranoid. even when i write my own stuff i'm like "does this sound too ai?"
 
plot twist: what if the professors are using ai essay writer tools to generate their assignment prompts? 🤔 would explain why some of them make zero sense lmaooo
