guys im literally dying here :( got this history essay due tomorrow and idk how to make my essay longer. already tried increasing font size but prof specifically said we cant do that. its about french revolution and im stuck at 3 pages when i need 5... any tips on how to make your essay longer without just adding fluff??

expand your examples (instead of just mentioning something, explain WHY it matters)
add counterarguments (shows you've thought about other perspectives)
connect your points better (those transition paragraphs really help make your essay longer naturally)

@homeric im writing about causes of the revolution. got the obvious stuff like poverty, enlightenment ideas, american revolution influence... trying to figure out how to make the essay longer but everything i add feels like im just repeating myself ugh

also found this cool source about women's march to versailles, might add that too. still trying to make the essay longer but at least now i have actual stuff to write about instead of just bs-ing 😅
